I’M FINE! REALLY!

How many times in your lifetime have you uttered those few words?

I think too many times, if you are asking me.

I’ve done it millions of times I’m sure of it. How do I know? It’s my ‘go to’ answer for everything. Why? Because it’s no one’s business but my own, how I’m really doing. I don’t want to talk about it one more time to one more person, or in my case, to the same people that love me and support me each and every day.

I would rather tell a stranger that I’m having a crappy day, than someone I care about. After all, I support them. I shouldn’t expect anything in return. Right?

I have to say though, that this gets tiring. There are days when I just want to say the absolute truth.

The truth is some days just SUCK! Sometimes it’s weeks on end, or months and in some cases it feels and probably is, years. Yep, I’m tired!  However, there is one thing that makes all of this just okay and sometimes enlightening. You could say ‘okay’ isn’t enough and I agree, however enlightening is enough.

I absolutely refuse to give up on my dreams. I refuse to live a life of mediocrity. I refuse to be average. I refuse to be like everyone else, in a dead end job, in a dead end relationship, and accepting my status quo rather than fighting for what I believe I deserve.

Some days I doubt what I truly deserve and I make a mess of everything. I doubt, I second-guess myself, and I don’t follow through on anything that is of worth to me in my life and on those days I give up. Tomorrow is always another day to do better and on those days when I’m really tired – tomorrow is a lifesaver.

Tomorrow, I go about making my dreams come true because I’m still not prepared to give up.

I have a friend Joyce that bought me a picture years ago with a saying on it – I hang it in my living room where I see it everyday. It reads:

‘No matter how impossible it may seem, never underestimate the power of a dream.’ (D.Morgan)

What are you doing about your dreams? Are you choosing to settle? Have you given up?

Mel Robbins, in the video attached, talks about the odds of anyone of us being born and alive.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp7E973zozc&sns=em

She says the chances are 1 in 400, 000, 000, 000, 000 and most of us spend our lives wasting it rather than seeking out why we are here on this earth at this time. We squander this miracle by not realizing our potential. Are you one of those people? If you are, get your SHIT together, and make a move. Your time on earth is short. Don’t waste it in some useless job or unfulfilling relationship.

Make your heart soar by going after your dreams. Don’t give up.

At Fournier Coaching, we help you transition into a life you love. I’ve been there. I know what it takes to develop a career that you love and a life that you are happy to lead. I know the fears you are facing. I know the work involved to be successful. I did it. You can do it! I can help. It’s up to you. Call me!

I'm fine. Really.

Rat Race no More

I decided when I was 38 years old, that I was going to put my dream of working for myself into action. I was tired of changing jobs every 2 years, not really building a career but job-hopping instead. Within 2 years of thinking and dreaming of working for myself, I did it! And 17 years later, I can say I’ve had the time of my life! I would not trade it for the world.

However, in the last couple of years, business has been far more quiet then I’m accustomed to, so I decided to fill up some of my time by getting a full-time job, while waiting for more contracts. I worked full time during the day, and managed my business during the evening and weekends.

Surprise!

I didn’t feel any different being employed than I did years ago when I gave up working for someone else, and here’s why:

•When on salary, all the extra hours you spend working aren’t compensated for

•You use up all of your energy during the day to have none left for when you get home

•Work seems to think they own you by expecting you to have a work phone, where you answer phone calls and emails when you aren’t supposed to be working

•You work with people who prefer you don’t think for yourself, so they can make all the decisions for you

•You have to work for too many micro managers with power struggles that are trying to make a name for themselves

•There is never anytime for a coffee break or lunch to fit into your schedule other than those sips or bites before dashing to another meeting or task

•Being 2 minutes late can be an issue but taking a sick day is even more of an issue

•There is a lack of respect for the years of accumulated experience and education, especially if you don’t have a title

•You begin to believe the pay cheque, benefits and pension plan is something you just can’t live without

I’m here to tell you that you can live without all of the above and get everything you ever desired, from owning your own business. It does however take a leap of faith to get you going.

I was a single mom raising two children on my own, in a city that I recently moved to. I had no other source of income – just my pay cheque. The work dynamics were not great for me at all. I thought there was more to a career than thinking I have another 40 years of working for this employer or any other. There is a lot more out there in life for you but you need to let go of the old way of life, and the old way of working, to transition you to a career and business you would love to wake up to every morning.

At Fournier Coaching, we help you transition from work to your own business. I’ve been there. I know what it takes. I know the fears you are facing. I know the work involved to be successful. I did it. You can do it! I can help. It’s up to you. Call me!

I want a Red Porsche!

One of the most talked about times in an individual’s life is when the kids are all grown up; moved out and living a life of their own.  All these years of taking care of them and coaxing them along, to bring you to this moment of ,‘What’s next? What do I do with myself? What is my life purpose?’

Chances are these thoughts were already percolating in your mind for years. Mine started when the kids went to university, especially the last one.

If you have a spouse, one of 2 things happen:  you carry on to fulfill some of your dreams together or you decide to separate to live the life you’ve always dreamed of – alone or with a new love.

This is what some call the mid-life crisis.

For many years we plod along, day in and day out, following a routine where our family and our careers take precedence over our lives, and we forget ourselves.  We give too much of ourselves away, and forget to nourish our own dreams and desires.

If you have been paying attention and following your heart, chances are a mid-life crisis may not happen to you because you’ve been living your dreams all along. For those of us that live vicariously through our spouses or children, we wonder why and how we got to this stage and realize that our own transformation can no longer be delayed or denied. We pick up the pieces so we can become whole once again, or maybe even for the first time.

It’s time to take a good, long, hard look at your life; figure out what’s working and what needs changing, and be brave enough to make those changes. Fear is the only thing that steps in our way because we allow it to immobilize ourselves from taking even one step in the right direction, or any direction for that matter. It doesn’t need to be right. It just needs to be.

What are your goals?

• Do you want to have a total health transformation?

• Do you want to start volunteering for your favourite cause?

• Do you want to quit the corporate world and create a soul business that brings goodness to the world?

• Do you want to start an online company and allow yourself to travel the world?

• Do you simply want more freedom?

Make it happen. Make anything and everything you ever wanted – happen.

Find yourself; stay true to yourself; and step outside of your comfort zone. Live life to its fullest every single day; every single moment.  Now if you want an excuse to buy that red Porsche, a mid-life crisis is as good a reason as any.

If you need help to make what you want happen, create an amazing transformation in your life, or want to create a small business to fulfill your dreams, I’d love to chat with you. I offer a  FREE 15 minute consultation to get to know you a little, see what your goals are and identify how I can help. Please schedule a “Meet & Chat” with me ~ I’d love to talk with you!

Change TWO things and Watch your Life Transform in 2 months!

What is standing in the way of you reaching your dreams? Are there areas in your life that need just a little bit more attention that would make all the difference you have been wishing for?

Whether you want a transformation in your health, your business, your job, your family or with your closest relationships, there are two things that can transform your whole world in as little as just 2 months!

Transformation Tip #1: Put Yourself First

I know, this sounds harsh and downright impossible when you have a demanding boss, young children to care for and a spouse to cherish but this is the most integral part of your whole transformational journey. Even for a small window of time every day, you must put yourself first. You have to set some time aside for yourself to allow the incredible YOU to emerge (or re-emerge).

What area of your life is ready for transformation?

Take steps to ready yourself for these changes and then fly! For example, if you are wanting to experience a health and body transformation, you must put yourself first long enough to carve out a window of time to joyfully move that body and prep some healthy meals.

If you’re not quite able to wrap your head around putting yourself first, focus on the fact that your family will benefit from having the best version of you, ever!

If you are developing a new soul business, you must find time in your day to put yourself first, so that you can make waves with your new venture! And again, any benefits you are experiencing personally, will naturally trickle out to your family and friends.

Take some prime transformational time to devote energy to yourself and your desires, because we often let ourselves have the left-over minutes of the day, but by then, we are usually exhausted and have nothing left to give to ourselves.

Transformation Tip #2: Act as though your transformation is complete!

If you were already at your perfect body size and shape, what would you do to maintain it? If you were already eating a clean diet, it would be easy to stay on that eating plan.

If you already have a thriving business, what would you be doing to keep it producing? You wouldn’t be worrying about the small details and getting caught up on the day to day things that make you busy, you would be focusing on the larger visionary pieces that make you money!

Create space in your life to envision the things you want the most and then take these two steps to make it happen.

Just imagine how much your life can change in a very short period of time if you take these tips seriously. And think about how good you would feel NOW if you had only started 2 MONTHS AGO!!!! So start now. You will thank yourself for it!

You’ve Done Everything You Can Do. Now What?

We’ve all been in those situations before. We’ve struggled and persevered and given everything we can to a situation and just can’t seem to either get ahead, put the pieces back together or figure out a positive solution.

Now What?

What can you do to finally find the solution?

It’s time to surrender.

This doesn’t mean to give up. It simply means time to let go, step back and detach from the outcome.

There are so many forces at work in the Universe that we can’t begin to know all of the connections and karmic ties that are floating around with us.

In many situations, if you are having an issue with a friend or close relationship and there are pieces that you just can’t manage, often times it is because there is a karmic piece that needs to be fulfilled and you won’t be able to get in the middle of that.

Other times, it is your opportunity to learn what you need to.

A Course in Miracles says that every situation is an opportunity for growth. Everything is a Spiritual lesson that is offered to you to bring you more awareness, consciousness and enlightenment in this lifetime.

Sometimes it’s difficult to be open to another growth opportunity, but if we are able to let in a bit of possibility, you may be pleasantly surprised at the outcome!

Speaking of outcomes, it’s time that we stop trying to control the outcome of every event, emotion and situation.

If we are able to transition to thinking about our lives as a whole lot of situations for growth that we just happen to move through (and yes, this is a pretty transformational thought process that takes time to adjust to), then we are able to have a more peaceful existence without such strain, anxiety and worry.

All stress and anxiety comes from projecting ourselves from this very moment into a place in the future that we are unsure of. If we are able to stay in this very moment here and now, there is no worry or tension because this is all we have and all we are.

When we start thinking about future events, and what may come of various parts of our lives, expectations, and possibilities, we are then back to trying to control the outcomes of various situations and this causes a terrible amount of stress.

For example, have you ever had any of these thoughts?

• Ohh, I need to get my oil changed in 500km. I have no time to schedule anything else in my life!

• We need to stop renting and buy a house. I don’t know how the market will be in 4 months. Maybe we should try to buy something now. But we don’t have enough for the down payment. I hope we can buy our dream home.

• I need to invite my in-laws for dinner this weekend. What will I serve for dinner? I have to clean the house. I need to go to the grocery store. I have to get the laundry done.

These are just the smaller day to day stresses that pop up, never mind the major life changing situations and traumas. But you get the idea. You can feel the anxiety beginning to creep into your mind and flood through your body at the thought of these situations.

Can we change our mindset? Surrender to a greater philosophy?

• Whenever my car needs service, I’ll find the time. Maybe my partner can take the car for me. It’s okay, I’ll deal with it when it comes up.

• I am perfectly happy and secure in our apartment. When the time comes to purchase our dream home, I know the perfect house will be waiting for us.

• I’m looking forward to spending time with family this weekend.

Just a simple mindset shift and you have surrendered the outcomes, and you can again begin to enjoy the present moment, by moving away from stress!

You’ve Done Everything You Can Do. Now What?

Decluttering for Mental Health

Look around you. How much “stuff” have you accumulated over the years that you do not need for your imminent survival?

Some items may have been purchased because they were on sale or the advertisement promised an amazing benefit that just wasn’t so. Some things used to serve a purpose, but now they just collect dust. Some items are kept for sentimental value, and others you don’t even notice anymore, because they have been there for so long.

But how does all of this clutter make you feel? It adds chaos to your every day life, because it is not visually appealing to look at and this stuff tends to just be in the way.

What about the clutter taking over your office space? This can cause added stress to already crazy days, because there is no space to work or brainstorm or spread out a notebook for fresh ideas. This adds more stress than is necessary and can really affect how you feel by the time you head home (to more clutter!)

“UCLA’s Center on Everyday Lives and Families (CELF) explored the relationship between 32 families and the thousands of objects in their homes and concluded that clutter has a strong effect on mood and self-esteem. Women were particularly stressed out by the presence of clutter. In fact, according to the CEFL study, the amount of stress they experience at home is directly proportional to the amount of stuff they and their family have accumulated. Similar to multitasking, physical clutter overloads your senses, makes you feel stressed, and impairs your ability to think creatively.”1

What is the solution??

It’s time to start giving away some of the items you know that you will never use again, haven’t used in months, or never really liked in the first place.

Here are two questions to ask yourself when beginning the task of decluttering:

Does it bring me joy?
Does it serve a functional purpose?

If you answered no to either of these questions, out it goes!!

The best way to get rid of your items is to donate them to others who might be in need of your things. Then you can feel as though the money that you spent on various items isn’t going into the garbage (and filling up our landfills) but that someone else might benefit from your generosity. For example, find a Goodwill, Value Village, Salvation Army, Women and Children’s shelter, or similar, to donate your gently used items to.

Here is a great way to ease yourself into getting rid of some clutter:

Over the course of a few weeks, you can really pare down your excess belongings by subscribing to this activity:

Day 1: Get rid of one item (it can be just one shirt, or one small appliance, one pair of shoes or a Christmas decoration you haven’t used in years).
Day 2: Get rid of two items!
Day 3: Get rid of three items!

…until you get to Day 30, and you rid yourself of 30 items that are cluttering up your space. Choose items that do not bring you joy and/or no longer serve a functional purpose!

Other ways to declutter:
• you can sell items online
• have a garage sale
• swap items with your friends

Make it fun! Getting rid of clutter doesn’t have to be traumatic, but it can sometimes feel stressful because we worry that we’ll need something again in the future and won’t have it. Start slowly on Day 1, and you will begin to feel a sense of lightness and excitement when you can see a bit more living space coming into view, not to mention your good deeds of donating your goods to someone who may get more joy from them than you do.

Crumpets and Tea Anyone?

You may want to think twice about your beverage choice!
Your cup of tea could be filled with pesticides. Yes, one more thing to worry about.

The English ceremony of having afternoon tea dates back hundreds of years, to the 1650’s, when ships would carry tea, beautiful porcelain tea pots and cups from China and Japan to Europe. Since tea leaves were extremely expensive, it immediately became popular with the Royal Family and aristocracy. But hundreds of years ago, pesticides were not used to propagate the growth of tea.1

Sadly, now most conventionally grown tea is doused in pesticides while it is growing, to fend off any number of pests – such as insects, mold or weeds. Most tea is not washed before it is distributed into individual tea bags, and as you would suspect, the pesticides are waiting for you right there in that cup.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been testing various tea brands for the last several years. Their findings are both shocking and scary – 1 in 4 teas had pesticides in them, at levels above what is allowed for human consumption.2

CBC’s Marketplace further investigated, and found that, for example, Uncle Lee’s Legends of China Green Tea had an incredible 22 pesticides in it, with 6 over the allowable limit.3

You can find the full Marketplace Tea Test Results here: http://www.cbc.ca/marketplace/blog/full-tea-test-results

The FoodBabe also reports that “A recent third-party analysis by Glaucus Research and discussed here found that 91 percent of Celestial Seasonings tea tested had pesticide residues exceeding the U.S. limits. For example, Sleepytime Kids Goodnight Grape Herbal contained 0.26 ppm of propachlor, which is a known carcinogen under California’s Propsition 65.”4

This is troubling news to those of us who enjoy one or even several cups of tea throughout the day. Since it is such a perfect snack time choice at the office, to just enjoy a few minutes with your favourite tea, and step away from the stress piling up on your desk, there must be a solution.

Here is a list of bagged tea that is safe, put together by David Wolfe:2

•    Red Rose
•    Numi Tea
•    Rishi Tea
•    EDEN Organic
•    Organic Stash
•    Choice Organic Teas
•    Two Leaves
•    Organic Tazo
•    Organic Traditional Medicinals

Additionally, check the package on some of the flavoured or more fancy teas, it’s important to also avoid added flavourings and GMO’s. Always buy organic and non-GMO, and if you can, try white tea. It is actually made from younger leaves, so they have less time to be exposed to pesticides before they are harvested for processing.

If you can buy organic loose leaf tea, and use a glass or stainless steel infuser, you are also avoiding the potential exposure to chemicals in the tea bags. (I know, what next?!)

“According to Dr. Mercola, many “paper tea bags are treated with epichlorohydrin, a compound mainly used in the production of epoxy resins. Considered a potential carcinogen by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health2 (NIOSH), epichlorohydrin is also used as a pesticide. When epichlorohydrin comes in contact with water, it hydrolyzes to 3-MCPD, which has been shown to cause cancer in animals. It has also been implicated in infertility (it has a spermatoxic effect in male rats) and suppressed immune function.”4

Check out this amazing chart from The FoodBabe, to cross reference the safety of your tea.

Definitely continue to have mini-vacations at work with a cup of tea, but be sure to choose your tea from the safe list!

Treating Autism Naturally

According to the Centre for Disease Control, approximately 1 in every 68 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) via estimates from CDC’s Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network1.

This statistic is shocking as ASD was diagnosed in the year 2000 at approximately 1 in 150 children1.

There are many natural ways to help to support and treat autism or those individuals identified on the autism spectrum.

The first piece of the puzzle is to stop adding toxins into the body and to allow the body a chance to naturally detoxify and begin to heal.

Toxins come in many shapes and forms, so it is critical to identify all of the ways that they can find their way into our bodies and lifestyle. This can include pesticides on our fresh produce, antibiotics and growth hormones in meat and fish, and petroleum bi-products and chemicals in cleaning supplies and cosmetics.

Toxins are also lurking in cleaning supplies such as laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet cleaner, etc – so replace these with vinegar and baking soda, and non-toxic soaps from your local health food store. There you will also find natural cosmetics, creams, make up, deodorant and toothpaste, shampoo, hair gel, that do not add to your toxic load.

It is also important to work with your doctor to help to reduce or eliminate medications wherever possible, to allow the body to begin to normalize without additional toxins, and to properly monitor the healing evolving with a variety of natural solutions implemented. Ritalin is prescribed quite often for various behavioural issues or emotions experienced and it can add to already existing problems. Some of the potential side effects of Ritalin are actually transient depressed mood and aggressive behaviour2.

Dietary changes are important to support healing autism and those on the spectrum. Most important is to limit or remove sugar from the diet. Not just sugar in candy and sweet fruits, but also all sources that break down into sugar, such as bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, corn (starchy vegetables), cereal, granola bars and packaged or convenience foods.

Replace these foods with colourful vegetables, berries and Granny Smith apples (very low glycemic level foods = low sugar), raw nuts and seeds, avocados, chia and hemp seeds, and unsweetened almond/coconut/cashew milk instead of cow’s milk.

A gentle detox process would be to incorporate green juices regularly – with cucumber, zucchini, kale, spinach, bok choy, Granny Smith apples, and lemon juice. As well as trying to add as many raw, colourful, organic foods to your diet as you can.

Healing with Homeopathy

Homeopathy has been proven as an excellent resource to help to treat autism naturally, and some studies have even produced results of the condition being completely reversed in children.3 It is a very individualized treatment, tailored to the exact needs of each individual. There are a variety of homeopathic remedies that treat very specific behaviours, thoughts and emotions experienced, and they are very powerful, with no side effects or risks involved. Your practitioner will ask a variety of questions to help find the best remedies for each situation and work with you to help support you with natural solutions.

If you would like to discuss natural healing options for someone in your life struggling with autism, please call to set up an appointment. 519-803-3025.

Is Your Salmon High on Cocaine?

It could be contaminated with up to 81 different types of drugs.

The Journal of Environmental Pollution recently published a paper studying the salmon in the Seattle area. Researchers found “Cocaine, Advil, Prozac, Lipitor, Benadryl, and dozens of other drugs in the tissue of juvenile chinook salmon caught in the Puget Sound in September of 2014.”1

Due to ‘personal waste products’ that make their way into the water system, 81 different types of drugs were detected in the effluent in the water around the city.

”The medicine chest of common drugs also included Flonase, Aleve and Tylenol. Paxil, Valium and Zoloft. Tagamet, OxyContin and Darvon. Nicotine and caffeine. Fungicides, antiseptics and anticoagulants. And Cipro and other antibiotics galore.”1

Now, not only is the continent’s dependence on drugs reaching a breaking point, it’s also now damaging other species, and then finding their way back into our bodies again.

Jim Meador, an environmental toxicologist at NOAA’s Northwest Fisheries Science Center in Seattle and lead author, explained that “The findings are of concern because most of the chemicals detected are not monitored or regulated in wastewater, and there is little or no established science on the environmental toxicity for the vast majority of the compounds detected.”1

But What About Water Treatment Facilities?

“Treatment plants in King County, Seattle, are effective in removing some drugs in wastewater, but many drugs are recalcitrant and remain. Seizure drugs, for instance, are very hard to remove, and ibuprofen levels are knocked down — but not out — during treatment, said Betsy Cooper, permit administrator for the Seattle county’s Wastewater Treatment Division.”2

So What Are You Unknowingly Ingesting?

A cocktail of chemicals, drugs and toxins that find their way into our food supply. Even the ‘control’ tests that were done in supposedly pristine waters, away from the city tested positive for an “alphabet soup of chemicals”.1

This points to the potentiality that most cities and waterways have undetected levels of drugs and chemicals in both the water and the aquatic species living therein. This is probable on both sides of the continent, in the water and marine life found in both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and all of the waterways in between. We could suggest to eat organic, but we don’t live in a vacuum, and the chemicals seem to find their way in to contaminate even the cleanest of areas.

What is the Solution?

Find ways to help yourself, your family and friends to stop using pharmaceuticals. There are natural remedies for every condition that are both non-toxic, and extremely effective. We need to stop polluting our environment with more and more toxic chemicals, drugs and toxins and the best way to do that is through education. Share this information with your network, your neighbours and friends and become an advocate for clean living.

Book an appointment with me to learn more about natural medicine that does no harm to you or the planet, and actually offers immense healing and empowerment.

This ONE Ingredient can Ruin that Healthy Smoothie!

You’re ready to start your day. You reach for frozen berries, banana, cherries and fresh greens, along with some super foods, such as cacao, maca, chia seeds, hemp seeds, sesame seeds, and flax seeds to add to your smoothie and then you head to the fridge for the milk.

If you just reached in for some cow’s milk, whether it is homogenized, whole, 2%, 1% or skim – STOP!

Switch to almond milk, coconut milk or hemp milk instead for a healthier product. Yes, they have been processed, but you can make your own nut milk. (Recipe below!)

The problem with cow’s milk is that it is a highly inflammatory food. One of the first systems to be affected by cow’s milk is the digestive system, as it has the most immediate and prolonged exposure to this toxin.1 Often reported are symptoms of colitis, Crohn’s disease and inflammatory bowel disease.1

Does Milk Contribute to Osteoporosis? Yes!

Animal and dairy products are acid-forming foods.

In other words, when these foods are broken down in the body, they create an acidic residue.

The body’s chemistry does not like an overly acidic environment, and will make every attempt to balance this state of acidosis by using alkaline (the opposite of acid) materials as a buffer.

The most abundant alkaline mineral in our body is calcium.

Calcium is leached out directly from the bones in order to buffer the acidic state created by overconsumption of meat and dairy products, sugar, and refined carbohydrates. This process leads to calcium excretion through the urine.”3

How do I get enough Calcium?

In actuality, the absorption rate of calcium from milk is only 32%, while the rate of calcium absorption from leafy greens is approximately 50%.3 It is possible to obtain all your calcium from dark green vegetables (where do you think cows get their calcium from?). The darker! The better! Cooked collard greens and kale are especially good.2

More Facts about Milk…

Consider the health of the cows that milk is coming from. They are fed hormones and given antibiotics, all of which ends up in the milk they produce.

Dr. Mercola explains that the recent approval by the FDA of the use of BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone) by dairy farmers to increase their milk production only worsens the already sad picture.

BGH causes an increase in an insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) in the milk of treated cows. IGF-1 survives milk pasteurization and human intestinal digestion. It can be directly absorbed into the human bloodstream, particularly in infants.

It is highly likely that IGF-1 promotes the transformation of human breast cells to cancerous forms. IGF-1 is also a growth factor for already cancerous breast and colon cancer cells, promoting their progression and invasiveness.2

In addition, the majority of people lose the lactase enzyme which breaks down the sugar (lactose) found in milk after weaning. This provides evidence that the human body is not built to metabolize milk after weaning.

Make your own Raw Nut Milk!

Begin by soaking 1 cup of raw almonds overnight.

Strain and rinse the almonds.
Add almonds and 4 cups pure filtered water to high-speed blender.
Blend for several minutes until it is fairly creamy.
(If you have a small blender, do this in 2 batches as the mixture tends to expand)

Strain mixture into a large bowl through a nut milk bag.

If desired, pour bowl of milk back into blender and add vanilla been, a dash of maple syrup or a couple of dates to sweeten it.

Pour into mason jars to store in the fridge for up to one week.

Enjoy!
